Affordable Internet Access is a project HSC has partnered with El Concillo of San Mateo County and the statewide non-profit The California Emergin Technology Fund ( CETF) whose mission is to close the "Digital Divide" in California through accelerating the adoption of broadband to underserved communities. Our goal is to establish collaborative working relationships with public agencies and organizations that serve low income households in San Mateo County to share information about affordable internet access options that increase the number of low-income households with internet services at home.
Women's Empowerment Project provides educational and learning opportunities to empower, enlighten and engage women attending this new Renaissance Center Program. We encourage each women to be the author - and the hero - of her own life. While she may enroll to become job- ready and financially independent, what she reclaims is her dignity inner strength and a place in the community. In 2018 there were 40 participants
The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is an advanced training program designed to inspire, empower and mentor local emerging leaders through monthly facilitated sessions with speakers, panels and interactive activities. It will encourage personal transformation for leaders who have demonstrated an attitude of service, professionalism, values, and integrity. Selection is through an application and referral process. Program to begin in fall of 2019.
