Organizations Filed Purposes:
To enable STEM education in India to train students to be innovative and job-ready upon graduation. The foundation acts as a global resource for Indian engineering colleges to provide access to tools, equipment, financial resources and knowledge so that the education imparted is more relevant and responsive to the real life needs of students and society at large.
Collaborative classroom programs provide funding to build facilities and support courses and workshops to create a culture of experiential learning in IIT universities in India in the field of engineering. The courses and workshops are provided in person and virtually.
The Invention Factory is a seven week intensive summer program in inventing. The series of workshops and modules focus on leadership and soft skill development, student development of critical thinking, problem-solving skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills. Since 2018, 40 student teams from 9 IIT universities have participated and filed 40 provisional patent applications in the USA and India.
The Tinkerers' Lab program are four student-managed facilities that provide an environment to experiment and work together in multidisciplinary groups to convert concepts and ideas to tangible engineering products. 10,000 students have used the facilities, completing over 500 projects, spawning off 6 entrepreneurial ventures.
