THE MUSEUM IS DEDICATED TO DEMONSTRATING MANKIND'S ABILITY TO ENHANCE HUMAN LIFE THROUGH TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION BY COLLECTING, PRESERVING AND EXHIBITING MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ARTIFACTS.
THE MUSEUM IS DEDICATED TO SHOWING THE EVOLUTION, INFLUENCE AND RELEVANCE OF HISTORIC INNOVATIONS TO THE TECHNOLOGIES AND SOCIETY OF THE PAST AND PRESENT. IT COLLECTS, PRESERVES AND DISPLAYS HISTORIC OBJECTS AND INVENTIONS THAT ILLUSTRATE THE EFFECTS AND INFLUENCE OF INNOVATION FROM 1750 TO 1950.
THE MUSEUM PROVIDES GROUP TOURS, LECTURES AND EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS TO AN AVERAGE OF 8,000 MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC EACH YEAR.
THE MUSEUM PRESERVES AND DISPLAYS ITS EXHIBITS AT THE WILLIAMS HOUSE. SOME OF THESE EXHIBITS INCLUDE A 1930'S KITCHEN, A 1920'S PRINT SHOP AND A PERIOD GENERAL STORE.
