Terraffirm Inc. is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). Terraffirm Inc. (herein referred to as Terraffirm or the organization) furthers charitable purposes by supporting research, development, and educational activities intended to mitigate or bring about awareness of global climate change and its effects. The organizations long-term objective is to facilitate efforts to reduce the harmful effects of climate change in order to maintain a healthy planet for generations to come.
Terraffirm has not yet identified any recipient organizations; therefore, there are no written contracts to attach to this Form 1023 application. Terraffirm intends to enter into written agreements with every organization to which it distributes funds, setting forth the charitable purposes of Terraffirm and the mutual rights and obligations of Terraffirm and the recipient organization.
