RYAN CAMP: PRESERVATION, MAINTENANCE AND INTERPRETATION OF THE HISTORICAL MINING CAMP OF RYAN, CA. TO RESTORE AND USE IT FOR EDUCATION AND A RESEARCH FACILITY. DURING 2019, THE ORGANIZATION ALSO SPENT $914,276 TO DEVELOP AND BUILD ASSETS RELATED TO RYAN CAMP, INCLUDING A MAJOR PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF THE CHURCH/REC HALL & AUX WATER STORAGE. THESE ITEMS HAVE BEEN CAPITALIZED AND ARE BEING DEPRECIATED OVER THEIR USEFUL LIVES.ONGOING INVESTMENT IN ARCHITECTURAL AND STRUCTURAL PRESERVATION PLAN PROJECTS FOR THE CHURCH/REC HALL, HOUSE #5, WAREHOUSE, BUNKHOUSES, INFRASTRUCTURE, AND HISTORIC WATER SYSTEMS, ETC.
20 MULE TEAM WAGONS REPRODUCTIONCOMPLETED A FUNCTIONING SET OF REPRODUCTIONS OF THE 1880'S ERA WORLD-FAMOUS 20 MULE TEAM DEATH VALLEY BORAX WAGONS FOR USE IN DEMONSTRATIONS, PARADES, AND LIVING HISTORY DISPLAYS AND EDUCATION. DURING 2019, THE ORGANIZATION SPENT $81,429 TO DEVELOP AND BUILD THE REPRODUCTIONS. THESE ITEMS HAVE BEEN CAPITALIZED AND ARE BEING DEPRECIATED OVER THEIR USEFUL LIVES.THE 20-MULE TEAM AND OUR REPRODUCTION DEATH VALLEY WAGONS APPEARED IN THE ANNUAL NATIONALLY ACCLAIMED "MULE DAYS" CELEBRATIONS IN BISHOP, CA. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE "LAWS MUSEUM AND THE "AMERICAN MULE MUSEUM", WHERE THE WAGONS ARE NOW ON PERMANENT PUBLIC DISPLAY WHEN NOT OUT AT EVENTS. WORK COMPLETED ON CONSTRUCTION OF THE REPRODUCTION WATER WAGON AND ADDITIONAL INTERPRETIVE AND DISPLAY ELEMENTS FOR THE WAGON EXHIBIT BARN.
