Organizations Filed Purposes: The Carbon Cycle Institute's mission is to stop and reverse global warming by advancing natural, science-based solutions that remove atmospheric carbon while promoting environmental stewardship, social equity and economic sustainability.

The Carbon Cycle Institute (CCI) made significant strides towards advancing its goals and objectives for 2020, despite the COVID pandemic and ongoing catastrophic fire events in the regions where we work. CCI convened two carbon farming workshops attended by 58 on-farm conservation practitioners and developed a new online, 3 part module training for carbon farm planners in partnership with Colorado State University. As a central component of our capacity strategy, CCI facilitated the development of seven (7) regional Carbon Farming Hubs to serve as the central delivery mechanism for carbon farming planning, and implementation in California. Lastly, CCI worked with the counties of Marin and San Mateo to develop agricultural chapters for their climate action plans.
