The Organization rescues & provides sanctuary to abandoned and neglected farm animals.
In addition to the daily activities, we had a round pen installed in 2020, at the suggestion of our vet, Dr. Katie Prince of Canyon Equine Medical Clinic, to provide safe, regular exercise for the horses. Our pastures have been plagued by gophers this year, so we needed safe footing for the horses to run. We also thoroughly harrowed all the pastures to try to mitigate the gopher hole issues. All animals are regularly vaccinated and wormed, and the sheep and alpacas are sheared annually. In January of 2020, we accepted another dog rescue from the streets of Vallejo. She is approximately 3 years old - Stumpy Tailed Australian Cattle Dog. We had her completely vetted and spayed. All dogs are in regular obedience / behavior training classes with local dog trainer, Marianne Dolcini. We have successfully spayed/neutered all the feral cat colony living on the property and no new kittens have been born this year.
