PROVIDES DIGNIFIED HOUSING WHERE HOMELESS FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS CAN REBUILD THEIR LIVES.
Facilitated the construction of shelter projects including:1. Completion of construction for Rancho Damacitas Project Independence House in Murrieta;2. Completion of Central City Lutheran Missions Workforce Training House renovation, and continued pre-planning work resulting in approved footprint and site plans of new dormitory building on their campus in San Bernardino; 3. Completion of four small homes known as The Grove Village located at Grove Community Church in Riverside.Hosted community outreach programs including:1. Essentials for Young Lives which provided over 230,000 baby care items to more than a dozen service providers in the region;2. Full Bellies, Warm Hearts events provided a carnival-like day of fun, food and school supplies for approximately 50 children living in shelters (one event in Hemet, one event in San Bernardino); 3. Provided backpacks filled with school supplies for more than 150 school-aged children residing in shelters throughout the two-county region;4. Packed 580 care-kits which volunteers gave to homeless individuals living on the streets;5. Provided 200 pair socks to homeless veterans attending the Riverside Area Veterans Expo.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM:PROVIDE BENEFITS TO HOMELESS CHILDREN AND BRING ATTENTION TO THE ISSUE OF HOMLESSNESS IN THE INLAND EMPIRE, PARTICULARLY AS IT RELATES TO INFANTS, YOUNG SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN, AND EMANCIPATED YOUTH. PROVIDE CARE KIT OF MUCH NEEDED HYGIENE ITEMS DIRECTLY TO THE HOMELESS ON THE STREETS.
