Organizations Filed Purposes:
California Foundation for Independent Living Centers mission is to increase access and equal opportunities for people with disabilities by building the capacity of Independent Living Centers.
Ability Tools is dedicated to expanding the availability of tools, resources and technology that increases independence, improves personal productivity and enhances the quality of life of Californians with disabilities. We support Device Lending Libraries, Reuse Centers Independent Living Centers throughout the state. We provide funding, training, and technical assistance to a network of over 1600 organizations and individuals. We developed the FreedomTech Alternative Finance Program to provide low-interest loans to people with disabilities and their families who are seeking loans for Assistive Technologies, home or vehicle modifications.
Disability Organizing Network is a focused on organizing for accessible communities. We support statewide and regional organizing campaigns that are driven by local communities.
Voice Options is a pilot program that assists Californians with speech and language disabilities to try out select iPad communication applications. Voice Options also offers basic training assistance on available apps, device demonstrations, and both long and short terms loans.
