THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO FOSTER A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE GROWTH AND STRENGTH OF THE INDUSTRY WITHIN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND, IN DOING SO, CALIFORNIA PROCESSORS CAN CONTINUE TO PROVIDE CONSUMERS WITH SAFE AND WHOLESOME FOOD PRODUCED IN AN ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND AND RESPONSIBLE MANNER.

THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTED SEVERAL MEETINGS AND EVENTS INCLUDING ITS ANNUAL TRADE SHOW (FOOD PROCESSING EXPO HELD IN SACRAMENTO), A FALL AND ANNUAL BOARD MEETING, AND OTHER MEETINGS AND EVENTS RELATED TO THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE. ALL OF THESE MEETINGS AND EVENTS WERE FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF FOSTERING A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE GROWTH AND STRENGTH OF THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY WITHIN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED A GOVERNMENT RELATIONS PROGRAM OF VARIOUS LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY ACTIVITIES IN REPRESENTING THE INTERESTS OF ITS FOOD PROCESSOR MEMBERS AND THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY. ALL OF THESE GOVERNMENT RELATIONS ACTIVITIES WERE FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF FOSTERING A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE GROWTH AND STRENGTH OF THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY WITHIN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.

THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTED VARIOUS FOOD RESEARCH PROJECTS, A PESTICIDE PROGRAM AND OTHER ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY. ALL OF THESE PROJECTS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES WERE FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF FOSTERING A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE GROWTH AND STRENGTH OF THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY WITHIN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
