Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of the California Society of Enrolled Agents is to empower, engage, and advocate for California Enrolled Agents. CSEA is the innovative influence and dynamic voice for taxation in California.
1.Super Seminars: This is an educational conference providing 41 sessions over three days. Offered in Reno in June 2019. Education sessions cover a variety of topics and educational levels. Conference includes an exhibit hall for vendors of tax-related goods and services, as well as booth space for government tax agencies and membership services. Member networking activities are also included. This program serves approximately 1,000 attendees, of which the majority are members.
2.Member Services: This program encompasses a range of services for 2,504 members and 19 local chapters. It includes liaison and advocacy activities with state and federal tax agencies; outreach to legislators at the state level; communication to members regarding all matters affecting their profession and practices, utilizing a variety of digital methods, and public information and marketing activities to promote awareness of the Enrolled Agent professional designation.
3.Society Governance: This program serves the 19 local chapters and their members (2,504 statewide). It encompasses four meetings per year of the entire governing body, including the Board of Directors and program committees. The Board of Directors includes 19 Directors (one from each local chapter), and six Officers who oversee all activity of the Society. The purpose of the governing body and committees is to ensure that the Society is operating according to Board policy and is meeting the strategic goals of the organization. Policies and goals are continually reviewed and updated to meet the needs of members. This program also includes professional development activity for Officers and Key Employees.
