The California Water Data Consortium is a nonprofit organization that supports data-informed water management decision-making in California in the face of climate change and other pressures on water resources.
The California Water Data Consortium was incorporated on July 15, 2019. Our first fiscal year was devoted to building the organization, including seating a 9-member board of directors, obtaining 501(c)(3) public charity status, developing and adopting bylaws, developing data streamlining pilot projects, and conducting a nationwide search for the Consortium's first Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO was hired in FY 20/21 and substantive program development is anticipated during fiscal year 20/21.
