Move to Amend is a coalition of hundreds of organizations and hundreds of thousands of individuals committed to social and economic justice, ending corporate rule, and building a vibrant democracy that is genuinely accountable to the people, not corporate interests.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS CORPORATION IS TO EDUCATE, INFORM, AND EMPOWER MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ABOUT ISSUES RELATING TO THE ROLE OF CORPORATIONS IN SOCIETY, THE LEGAL STATUS OF CORPORATIONS, THE PRACTICE OF DEMOCRACY, AND THE FUNCTIONING OF OUR CONSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORK.
Public talks and workshops to educate the public about the history of democracy and corporations in the United States and solutions to end corporate constitutional rights and get money out of politics.
Democracy Brigade Program. Training and apprenticeship program for young people to learn community organizing, organizational and citizenship leadership skills.
Grassroots Movement Support. Training and expertise for Move to Amend affiliate citizen leaders. Webinars, conference calls, in person training and materials generation for volunteer citizen leaders in Move to Amend affiliate groups. Skills taught include basic organizing, group development, media relationships, event coordination, initiative campaigns and electoral training.
