To foster transportation behaviors that enhance place-making in our community through advocacy, programs, education, and services.
Jibe Express: Provided the commuter shuttle to reduce single occupant vehicle travel. It connects to bus and rail and has three-position bike racks that make it an optimal transportation choice. This program provided 600 shuttle trips from North Natomas to/from downtown Sacramento per day.
Jibe by Bike: Held Earn-A-Bike program with a 14 hour bike course. Held 50 bikes for 50 kids event. Provided Bike Doc, a bike fix-it station at the North Natomas Library and fixed bikes for free at schools, community events, and businesses. Held annual May is Bike Month campaign.
Jibe to School: Project Ride Smart aimed to teach and train kids how to ride smart and have proper street awareness. Partnered with local schools to promote Walk and Bike to School program with 136,700 kids participating and walked/biked a total of 76,000 miles. Held classes teaching about bike repair, assembly, riding routes and basic mechanical fixes.
