Academia and research are integral to the occupational therapy scope of practice, quality of client care, and evidence-based practice and education. The Association supports a collaborative relationship between the occupational therapy's professional Association and academia and research as being imperative to the future of the profession.The Association recognizes and celebrates that OT/OTA students are the bright future of the profession and the Association. In support of its student members, the Association offers benefits that students find particularly valuable including the OTAC Student Leadership Committee and deep discounts to educational conferences.The Association's Annual Conference was held in Sacramento, California during October 2017. The Association offers many valuable benefits to occupational therapy practitioners.
