Organizations Filed Purposes: THE OPEN JUSTICE BROKER CONSORTIUM IS AN NON-PROFIT MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION OF GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND JURISDICTIONS, DEDICATED TO IMPROVING JUSTICE INFORMATION SHARING THROUGH THE REUSE OF LOW-COST, STANDARDS-BASED INTEGRATION SOFTWARE. THE OJBC UNLOCKS THE POWER OF OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE AND CROSS-BOUNDARY COLLABORATION TO PROMOTE A MORE EFFECTIVE, EFFFICIENT JUSTICE SYSTEM. ORGANIZATIONS THAT ADOPT THE OJB PLATFORM AND PARTICIPATE AS CONSORTIUM MEMBERS CAN: 1. ACCESS POWERFUL INTEGRATED JUSTICE TECHNOLOGY AT VERY LOW COST 2. DEVELOP AND SHARE TECHNOLOGY AND IDEAS ACROSS JURISDICTIONAL BOUNDARIES 3. MORE EASILY BUILD TO NATIONAL JUSTICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNITY STANDARDS, SUCH AS THE GLOBAL REFERENCE ARCHITECTURE AND NATIONAL INFORMATION EXCHANGE MODEL 4. PARTICIPATE IN A COMMUNITY DEDICATED TO IMPROVED INFORMATION SHARING AND EFFECTIVE USE OF TAXPAYER-FUNDED TECHNOLOGY5. ACCESS EXPERTISE AND IMPLEMENTATION ASSISTANCE VIA OJBC MEMBERSHIP

TO DESIGN, DEVELOP AND COLLABORATIVELY GOVERN A TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM CALLED THE OPEN JUSTICE BROKER CONSORTIUM.

HAWAII:OJBC PROVIDES SUPPORT TO THE HAWAII INTEGRATED JUSTICE INFORMATION SHARING (HIJIS) TO ASSIST PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES WITH THEIR INFORMATION SHARING NEEDS. IN FY, 2019 OJBC ASSISTED HAWAII IN PROVIDING A FEDERATED SEARCH ACROSS FIREARMS SYSTEMS IN THE STATE. OJBC CONTINUED TO EXPAND THE FEDERAL RAP BACK PROGRAM TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL AGENCIES AND UPDATED THE USER EXPERIENCE TO PROVIDE A FASTER MORE EFFICIENT PORTAL. OJBC CONTINUED TO INTEGRATE HAWAII'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEMS WITH THE FBI'S NATIONAL SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY.

SPECIAL PROJECTS:OJBC DID A SUBSTANTIAL UPGRADE OF THE FEDERATED QUERY WEB PORTAL WHICH IS USED BY A VARIETY OF MEMBER STATES. THE NEW PORTAL IS FASTER, MORE EFFICIENT AND USES UPDATED SOFTWARE LIBRARIES THAT CONTAIN SECURITY FIXES AND PROVIDE THE USER POPULATION WITH A MORE MODERN LOOK AND FEEL. OJBC ALSO DEVELOPED A SEARCHABLE AUDIT INTERFACE WHERE ADMINISTRATORS CAN DETERMINE WHAT INFORMATION USERS ARE SEARCHING FOR AND THE TYPES OF RECORDS THEY ARE VIEWING AND PRINTING.

OKLAHOMA:OJBC WORKED WITH THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA TO CREATE A WEB PORTAL AND RELATED SOFTWARE THAT ENABLES PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES TO ADD, UPDATE AND MODIFY DISPOSITIONS IN CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS. OJBC PROVIDED A USER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ALONG WITH SECURITY INTERFACE SO RECORDS CAN BE UPDATED WITH AN AUDIT TRAIL. THIS WILL ASSIST THE STATE IN MAINTAINING ACCURATE CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS FOR BACKGROUND CHECKS AND RELATED RECORD REQUESTS.
