PTHV supports schools and school districts to implement its evidence-based relational home visit model of family engagement. During the 2019-20 school year, PTHV practitioners conducted over 45,000 home visits in nearly 700 schools in 28 states plus Washington, DC. Rigorous academic research shows that the PTHV model:* Helps close the achievement gap by increasing student academic achievement and decreasing chronic absenteeism;* Nurtures mutual trust, surfaces and counters implicit biases, and results in racial and other forms of healing;* Creates conditions that give rise to increased parent confidence in advocating for their own children and for children at school and district levels;* Results in productive partnerships between families and teachers that recognize and foster their mutual roles as co-educators.
