SACC'S CORE COMPETENCY AND OUR COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE IS OUR PORTFOLIO OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS THAT MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR ETHNICALLY DIVERSE SMALL BUSINESS OCMMUNITY.
TO CREATE A POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR LOCAL BUSINESS, GOVERNMENT, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND TRADE. TO PROMOTE, NUTURE AND PROPEL ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE REGION.
THE CHAMBER CONDUCTED ITS 11TH ANNUAL REGIONAL STUDY MISSION. THE STUDY MISSION GAVE THIS YEAR'S 80 PARTICIPANTS AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE ASSETS, TALENT AND OPPORTUNITIES OF THE SIX-COUNTY SACRAMENTO REGION, EXPLORING DOWNTOWN AND MIDTOWN SACRAMENTO THIS YEAR. OVER THE COURSE OF THE TWO-DAY TRIP, PARTICIPANTS WERE REMINDED OF WHAT MAKES THE SACRAMENTO REGION THE "BEST OF-FIRST AT-LEADER" WITH A FOCUS ON CIVIC AMENITIES, EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, INNOVATION AND MORE. PARTICIPANTS REPRESENT DIFFERENT LOCAL BUSINESS LEADERS WANTING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT DIFFERENT PROGRAMS AND MOVEMENTS THAT ARE HELPING TO GROW THE SACRAMENTO REGION.
THE CHAMBER EXECUTED ALLIANCE CONTRACTS WITH THE CITY OF SACRAMENTO, REGIONAL TRANSIT AND THE SACRAMENTO MUNCIPAL UTILITIES DISTRICT. THROUGH THESE ALLIANCE CONTRACTS, THE CHAMBER WAS ABLE TO CONNECT BUSINESSES TO THE RESOURCES AND TOOLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL SUCH AS CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS, WORKSHOPS, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. THIS HELPS ENSURE THAT THE CHAMBER'S MEMBERS HAVE ACCESS TO KEY OPPORTUNITIES IN THE SACRAMENTO REGION.
THE CHAMBER EXECUTED ITS SECOND ANNUAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM. AN EIGHT-WEEK, EIGHT SESSION WORKSHOP SERIES DESIGNED TO PROVIDE EDUCATION TO BUSINESSES TO ASSIST WITH GROWTH OF THE FIRM'S CAPACITY. PARTICIPATING FIRMS RECEIVED TRAINING ON TOPICS INCLUDING BONDING, ACCESS TO CAPITAL, LEGAL, PROCUREMENT AND MARKETING.
