SCCSC's mission is to assist new immigrants, refugees and other under-served individuals in the greater Sacramento area to achieve economic self-sufficiency, social empowerment, and cultural appreciation. The Center accomplishes this mission by providing quality educational, vocational, human services and health programs.

AARP Foundation Experience Corps is an intergenerational volunteer-based tutoring program that is proven to help children who arent reading at grade level become great readers by the end of third grade. The program is designed to inspire and empower adults 50 and older to serve in their community and disrupt the cycle of poverty by making a lasting difference in the lives of Americas most vulnerable children.
