WarmLine Family Resource Center provides information, education and support to promote and strengthen the foundation of families and children with special needs so they can face the challenges of the present and create new dreams for the future.
WarmLine Family Resource Center served 1,763 families during the fiscal year. The Center's objectives continue to be: (1) Provide support in times of need, including improved access to necessary services and resources; (2) Provide information to families to enhance age-appropriate development of their children, including social emotional competence; (3) Provide opportunities to increase individual and family social connections and decrease isolation and lack of social and family supports; (4) Increase knowledge of parenting and child development; and (5) Enhance parental resilience.The Center's achievements during the year included:1. Operated two offices in two counties, providing an accessible family center and library with resources, information, and consultation with staff on a wide range of services and activities. Hours of operation: Monday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm.;2. Provided 63 relevant trainings in group settings and 32 in individual settings;3. Offered families 38 social activities for parents, children, siblings and extended family;4. Provided 82 outreach activities to agencies serving children with disabilities/special needs and the general community.
