Center for Open Recovery champions long-term recovery by ending the stigma of addiction.
COR works to end the stigma of addiction. A virtual organization utilizing social-impact strategies, COR engages individuals, audiences and communities across the country via education, media and events. Philanthropy rather than earnings promotes innovation and partnership.
COR partnered with other organizations to produce Recovery Fest 2018, which attracted 10,000 attendees to the first recovery-oriented music festival of its kind. This was an example of COR's commitment to bringing transformative recovery events into communities. Our campaign, #ThisIsRecovery, reached over 500,000 people online and attracted 120,000+ people to view our new videos. This was an example of our commitment to bold media campaigns to inspire proud recovery identity. Our Executive Director also gave a presentation, along with the U.S. Surgeon General, to hundreds of physicians and other specialists attending an addiction medicine conference. This was an example of COR's commitment to education and reaching broad audiences.
