Libreria Del Pueblo, Incs primary purpose is to help low income individuals with immigration services along with general education of those individuals. To provide referral services to educate the public on how to access health care.
Immigration and Citizenship services - Provided citizenship classes for persons who are legal permanent residents. Over 2,000 clients served with almost a 100% pass rate. Dignity Health: to educate and raise awareness among the Hispanic Community about Medi-Cal benefits. We also refered potentially eligible individuals to the Department of Public Social Services. We provided workshops to distribute information on how to access healthcare and enroll eligible persons in the affordable care insurance program. Inform the Hispanic Community about the changes on the public charge policy and the benefit for the immigrants in process to become permanent residents or US Citizens. Over 20 clients were served.
