ALGSD is a chapter of Assistance League a national nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action through community-based philanthropic programs Operation School Bell, Twain Learning Center, Dance, Operation Hug, Trauma Clothing Kit, and Book Buddies.

OPERATION SCHOOL BELL- Provides two new outfits of school clothing, plus shoes, books and other supplies to approximately 2400 elementary school students at 80 schools in San Diego County.
UPPER DIVISION SCHOLARHIPS - Assistance League of Greater San Diego funds scholarships for full-timecommunity college students transferring to accredited four-year California colleges and Universities.
TRAUMA CLOTHING- We provide clothing for needy hospital patients to wear home after emergency room visits, if their clothing was ruined due to an accident or illness. We partner with 8 local hospitals to provide this service to needy patients.
