To deliver quaility compassionate services to people affected by HIV/AIDS and to provide education and referral services to those in need.
HOPWA - The HOPWA Helping Hands Moving Project assists people suffering from HIV/AIDS to move their personal belongings. The HOPWAS Utility Assistance Project provides utility assistance payments to individuals with HIV/AIDS.
Fee for Service - Being Alive San Diego has a fee for services agreement with the State of California to provide enrollment and consuling regarding the Aids Drug Assistance Program ADAP. This is a prescription drug and insurance assistance program that is funded by the Ryan White CARE legistlation and state funds. Being Alive San Diego is paid for the enrollment services, In the year end June 30, 2020 BASD received 101,330 in grant fees. Being Alive San Diego also collected fees for various HIV programs adminstered during the year ended June 30, 2020 in the amount of 140.
Other Programs - Being Alive provides information and education services to over 8,000 individuals annually. These include low income, disabled, and homeless HIV infected individuals in San Diego. In addition, Being Alive run emergency food bank for Feeding San Diego EFAP.
