Organizations Filed Purposes:
To seek better treatment options for women with ovarian cancer by providing diagnostic services that determine the molecular profile of the individual patient and providing doctors access to molecular profiling.
Education The Clearity Foundation educates oncologists and other clinicians about the benefits of molecular profiling at meetings and educational events. In 2020, due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, Clearity was unable to host educational booths at professional society meetings and patient educational conferences, as in years past.
Patient services The Clearity Foundation provides tumor profiling services at no cost and sponsors the costs of the diagnostic tests to the extent patients are uninsured or cannot afford to cover their copay. For the 12 months ended September 30, 2020, Clearity provided consultations to 121 existing patients and 124 new patients. In addition, Clearity served 168 participants through its new Steps Through OC psychosocial support program.
Scientific Advisory Board The Clearity Foundation engages individuals with medical and scientific expertise to serve on its Scientific Advisory Board to provide advice on Clearity profiling services provided to clinicians and cancer patients. In 2020, Clearity hosted a virtual Scientific Advisory Board meeting and several virtual meetings with potential research collaborators.
