Organizations Filed Purposes:
To create and teach the circus arts and associated artistic genres. Utilize circus arts as a means to build community and educate children, teens and families.
Performance: Fern Street Community Arts organized the Neighborhood in the underserved parks of San Diego that provided free of charge circus entertainment. The artists carried the bi-lingual show and broaden the interest to audiences. The show combined professional circus, musicial and visual arts with young people trained by Fern Street Community at Mid-City Gym in City Heights. Also, Fern Street Community Arts provided performance services on a contractual basis at different events.
Education: Fern Street Community Arts supported on-going After-School Circus Program at City of San Diego Mid-City Gym. The program offered free of charge instruction in tumbling, juggling, tightwire and unicycling from paid, professional services on a contractual basis at different events.
