Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of Lambda Archives of San Diego is to collect, preserve, and teach the history of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the San Diego and Northern Baja California region.

During the reporting year, our organization employed two part-time professionally-trained archivists.The Archives had well over 225 visitors to its office location, along with two dozen researchers. In addition, there were over 200 high-school students to experience our collections as part of a partnership with Diversionary Theatre where they attended live performances and an awareness of the LGBTQ community.Our walking tour initiative, History of Hillcrest, continued to be a success. There were 10 tours given to more than 75 participants.We had a collaboration with the San Diego Unified School District and educators to provide a curriculum to support the FAIR Act. Training to students in the process and preservation of photos also continued.LASD staffed tables and volunteers at Pride, South Bay Pride, Trans Pride, The Center, SDSU, OATA, Taste of University Heights, Out at the Fair, Dining Out for Life and other local events.The staff, amongst all their other duties and responsibilities, conducted over 50 Oral history video interviews to add to the archive collections.
