Organizations Filed Purposes: Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society (OTS) is an educational organization created to provide a neutral forum for the dissemination of information and scientific exchange in all aspects of oligonucleotide research and therapeutic development.

Educational organization created to discuss oligonucleotide research and therapeutics development.

The Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society program is delivered through a four day professional meeting which includes scientific presentations by speakers from industry, academia, and students in the field of oligonucleotide therapeutics. Presentations are presented in general session format and include both "short" and "long" session presentations based on abstracts that are submitted months prior to the meeting. Speakers are selected by invitation and abstract review selection. The program content is created via a committee that convenes periodically six months to one year prior to the meeting date. The program committee is selected to ensure that the information being presented is current, relevant, and of interest to all constituent groups that are represented by the Society's membership base. The program also includes between 120-130 poster presentations of topics and research that are current in the industry. These posters are presented via abstract and visual display for the duration of the meeting. Specific times are set apart in the agenda for all constituents to view posters and have the opportunity to network and meet with the "host" of the poster/abstract. Awards are given to eight to twelve of the best posters/abstracts chosen by a selection committee of reviewers made up of members of the Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Committee. Multiple travel grants are awarded annually as well as a scholarship award named for one of the society's founding members and a scholarship award named from the publisher of the society's official journal. Beginning in 2014 the Board of Director's established a Lifetime Achievement Award. The LAA is selected by the BOD and gives a talk during the awards session on the final day of the meeting.
