To revitalize and promote the community of Pacific Beach both physically and economically.
Deisgn Improvements Maintained trash receptacles throughout the district. Produced the Pacific Beach Tuesday Farmers Market to increase awareness of using local products and promote foot traffic into the business district. Provided cleaning and beautification services including graffiti removal, trash abatement, sweeping and debris removal, sidewalk sweeping and weed abatement along busy corridors. Managaed the Beach Area Community Court and community service efforts throughout the district.
Marketing, Communications, Promotions and EventsHosted an annual restaurant walk, the Heart of Pacific Beach Restaurant Walk, which attracted new customers to over 50 participating restaurants. Continued shop local campaign featuring locally owned businesses, Shop PB. Produced 10 other events throughout the year including Christmas on Cyrstal Pier, Holiday Parade, Lord of the Wings and the biggest event of the year was the Pacific BeachFest which attracted over 50,000 visitors to Pacific Beach and promoted over 80 neighborhood businesses. Produced both electronic and mailer newsletters and increased social media presence and maintained website to promote business directory and events and inform public of local initiatives. Responded to COVID-19 crisis interventions for small businesses including updating membership on operational policies and closures, financial assistance opportunities, assisting businesses in converting business models, closing and informing public of closings of public events and modifying website to include resources and promotion of essential businesses.
