The Alpha Male Program focuses on reducing the suspension and expulsion rates of middle and high school African American males. Alpha Male is an on-campus program conducted during lunchtime (lunch provided) and runs from October to June. Currently, the Program is at a local middle school in Southeastern San Diego and is being launched at a high school where eight grade participants are attending their freshman year of high school.
The San Diego All American Soapbox Derby is an annual family event co-sponsored by James Justus Automotive. It brings together youths ages 7-20 and their families, community mentors and local public officials to learn, work and enjoy the excitement this STEM program provides through downhill pulled vehicles.
