Organizations Filed Purposes:
TO ELEVATE AND ADVANCE URBAN LEADERSHIP THROUGH DIALOGUE-BASED CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, DYNAMIC NONPROFIT PARTNERSHIPS, AND DIRECT TRAINING AND SUPPORT TO INCREASE THE CAPACITY OF URBAN RESIDENTS TO EFFECT MEANINGFUL COMMUNITY CHANGE.

Provided hands-on technical assistance on developing and implementing a business plan through small-group classes and one-on-one coaching to twenty new and emerging organizations or programs. Served as fiscal agent for community groups offering youth, community, and arts programs.
Leadership Development: Graduated fifth class of RISE Urban Leadership Fellows Program offered in partnership with the University of San Diego. Developed and refined year-long program curriculum, identified and recruited program faculty/coaches, and recruited and selected a diverse sixth cohort from throughout San Diego County for the 2020 program year.
Civic Engagement: Organized and hosted annual inclusive leadership awards celebration honoring San Diego County community leaders for over 450 attendees. Implemented social media audience engagement effort to better support program and events outreach and communications across the organization. Developed soft launch of RISE Now, a civic engagement program focused on live social media broadcasts with community members held at independent coffee shops.
