Organizations Filed Purposes: The San Diego Hunger Coalition leads coordinated action to end hunger in San Diego County supported by research, education and advocacy. Our vision is that everyone in San Diego County has enough food for an active, healthy life.

Hunger Free San Diego Spearheaded by SDHC, Hunger Free San Diego is a collaboration of 30 agencies leading the fight against hunger in our region, guided by a local advisory board of CEOs, decision makers, and experts representing food banks, social service agencies, government, healthcare, school districts, philanthropy, and other aligned collaboratives. In 2019, Hunger Free San Diego conducted research that provided an in-depth look at the landscape of hunger and hunger relief services in San Diego County and released the Hunger Free Kids Report Opportunities by District to End Child Hunger. This report is the first to take a deep look at San Diegos efforts to feed more kids through federally funded child nutrition programs, increasing free meals for kids all over San Diego County.
