San Diego Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Pride is a non-profit volunteer-supported human rights organization. Its mission is to foster pride and respect for LGBT communities locally and globally.
The two-day annual San Diego Pride Festival offers an educational, cultural, and social event to support the community with an approximate attendance of over 50,000 people from 32 countries and 475 cities around the world.
As a primary axis where the LGBTQ community intersects in San Diego, San Diego Pride has also developed volunteer-led supportive programs for the other 363 days of the year that focus on connecting with, empowering, and organizing LGBTQ people who live at the intersections of multiple identities. The programming that we offer targets LGBTQ youth, communities of color, people with disabilities, lesbians, and military members and veterans. Over 42 volunteer-led programs and projects benefiting LGBTQ San Diegans take place throughout the year including: the annual Youth Leadership Academy, Orgullo Sin Fronteras (a Binational LGBTQ Conference), She Fest, the #MeTooLGBTQ Conference, Pride World Forum, the Pride Youth Marching band, volunteer trainings and leadership development, and various intersectional identity coalition meetings.
The annual San Diego Pride Parade is a single-day event promoting pride and a sense of community for approximately 300,000 people in attendance. 2019 was another record-breaking year for our parade with 285 separate contingents marching in the parade.
