THE COMPANY PREMIERED NEW WORKS IN TWO SAN FRANCISCO HOME SEASONS INCLUDING "COMMON GROUND" IN THE FALL AND "ART SONGS"POLESTAR" IN THE SPRING AND RECEIVED CRITICAL ACCLAIM FOR BOTH SEASONS.
EDUCATION: LINES BALLET OFFERS TRAINING AND SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ASPIRING AND PRE-PROFESSIONAL DANCERS AND AN ACADEMIC SETTING THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH THE DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA BFA PROGRAM. STUDENTS PERFORM WORKS STAGED BY GUEST CHOREOGRAPHERS, LINES REPERTOIRE AND THEIR OWN CHOREOGRAPHY. THE SUMMER PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS AGE 11-24 SERVED 263 STUDENTS, LINES 2-YEAR TRAINING PROGRAM FOR AGES 17-24 SERVED 38 STUDENTS, LINES BFA PROGRAM HAD 43 STUDENTS IN ATTENDANCE. THE DISCOVERY PROJECT PROVIDED ACCESSIBLE DANCE EDUCATION TO STUDENTS IN SAN FRANCISCO, KANSAS CITY AND TAMPA.
LINES DANCE CENTER EXISTS TO BE THE ACCESS POINT TO EXPERIENCING LINES BALLET FOR SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA ALL YEAR LONG. THE DANCE CENTER PROVIDES 75 HIGH-CALIBER CLASSES PER WEEK LED BY THE BAY AREA'S BEST FACULTY. THE DANCE CENTER WELCOMES 8,000 STUDENTS THROUGH ITS CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, EVENTS AND PROGRAMS, IN VARIOUS DANCE FORMS. THE DANCE CENTER PROVIDES SPACE AND IS HOME TO LOCAL CHOREOGRAPHERS, COMPANIES AND ARTISTS. THE DANCE CENTER IS CONTINUALLY DEVELOPING NEW PROGRAMS SUCH AS THE TEENS @LINES AND LINES COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AS A COMMITMENT TO SERVICE IN THE COMMUNITY.
