The 44th annual American Indian Film Festival run from October 26 thru November 1, 2019, at the Brava Theater Center in San Francisco's historic Mission District. There were 7 film programs. The Awards Show had to be cancelled due to the imminent danger of fires and power cut offs that affected the Bay area during that week The film programs depicted included community development issues, comedy, scify, social and political issues that affect Native American communities.
The Tribal Touring Program, a 10 day intensive film training for Native Youth living in Reservations or Rancherias in California and Western United States has not been held since Fiscal Year end 2017 We keep our hopes high that we will bring this important program back again some time in the coming years.
