SLIDING SCALE FEE PROGRAMA vast majority of clients see CCI therapists at a less than our standard full fee rates. Clients who cannot afford our standard rates, and do not have insurance, are given the opportunity to see our therapists at lower fees. In 2015, 80% clients paid less than full fee; 18% was CAF, 50% had insurance coverage and 12% without insurance. 20% of the clients paid the standard (full) fee for therapy
INTERN program:CCI has trained post Masters level interns for over 30 years. In 2015, there were two interns in the training program. CCI provided supervision, malpractice insurance, group consultation training, individual therapy training and professional guidance for interns to gain the skills and assess required client hours (according to CAMFT requirements), necessary for them to obtain full licensure. The Institute invested, in monetarily terms, an approximate amount of $15,600 annually to train a single intern. We received a $3,000 Grant from the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin for this program, and used all of of the program funds within the year.
CAF Program:CCI therapists see very low-fee clients who qualify to receive assistance from our Client Assistance fund (CAF). CAF clients can pay as little as $0 for a therapy session to $59 per session. In 2015 the standard fee for services was $140 (LCSW, MFT) or $160/session (Phy.D). 21 clients were CAF recipients in 2015. Total number of client hours, or hours that CCI therapists worked with clients in 2015 is 3,354. From that, 608 hours were devoted to CAF clients, which represents 18% of our work. The CAF clients pay minimal payment, and their therapy is subsidized by CCIs annual fundraising. We budgeted $11,000 to our CAF program in 2015. In 2015, we disbursed 12,052.04 for CAF program use. We had a reserve balance of CAF funds going into 2015.
