Organizations Filed Purposes:
CIDCI brings together deep thinkers from diverse disciplines and communities to advance change in the design and construction industry.
Innovation Lab. CIDCI hosted an online course for working professionals that combined design thinking with systems thinking. Led by UC Berkeley Haas School of Business professor, Sara Beckman and Rachel Dzomback, this course served design and construction leaders thru rigorous discussions about problem solving. This course was held once a week, April-June, 2020.
Fall Forum- on-line. CIDCI hosted 5 days of free 90 minute seminars October 5-9, 2020. Topics included: Project Delivery Advancements; Equity in Design and Construction; Data Changing How We Work (in the AEC industry) and a conversation with building owners about how remote work impacted their work and thoughts about the future. 100-200 people attended each session. Sessions were recorded and placed on the CIDCI website.
On-line Salons. When the pandemic prevented in-person gatherings, CIDCI moved to conducting online presentations via Zoom. These salons are free and offered to the broad community. Topics include: Why Innovate? Does Diversity Improve Outcomes? What is the Psychological Impact of Work During the pandemic? Sessions are recorded and placed on the CIDCI website.
