Charge Across Town is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help reduce carbon emissions in California by collaborating with city governments, local businesses and the electric vehicle community, connecting people to electric transportation options, promoting the adoption of electric vehicles and e-mobility solutions, and advocating for broader and renewable EV charging stations.

Electrify America and ValleyCAN TuneIn and TuneUp: Valley CAN and Charge Across Town are working with Electrify Americas Cycle One Brand-neutral ZEV Awareness & Education Program for disadvantaged and low-income communities. The program draws on the successful up-and-running programs in the San Joaquin Valley that can be easily replicated in other regions of the state. With Valley CANs Tune In & Tune Up Smog Repair Program which reached 50,000 customers since 2014 and Charge Across Towns Statewide Ride and Drive Programs, which conducted over 10,000 ride and drive experiences since 2013. In 2019 we reached 4000 consumers, with 1200 ride and drives, and 20 Clean Car clinics during this program from January December 2019.
Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) Drive Electric ride and drive series: In its second year, SMUDS Drive Electric ride and drive series provided consumers with the opportunity to get behind the wheel of eighteen different battery and plug-in electric vehicles at six different venues across the region, including a state fair and international auto show, over ten days. In addition to SMUDs community engagement team, the program worked closely with local automotive dealerships, OEMs, CSE, and the Sac EV Association.
EV Week 2019: CAT organized a zero-emissions vehicle (ZEV) ride and drive and Showcase at Pier 27 in San Francisco in October 2019. The event was underwritten and paid through sponsorships secured by CAT. EV Week displayed all types of electric transportation from scooters and bikes, to cars, autonomous technology, EV charging solutions, along with partner organizations. The EV Week reached over 100,000 people.
