Organizations Filed Purposes:
Harm Reduction Therapy Center is dedicated to providing treatment to people with co-occurring substance abuse and mental illness, and training mental health, drug treatment, and social service providers who work with complex multi-diagnosed people.
HRTC served 500 multi-diagnosed individuals in 2 office-based and 7 community-based settings. 400 clients are extremely low income, homeless, and/or mentally ill. The Organization conducted over 50 trainings to more than 1500 participants. Some trainings were delivered under ongoing consultation contracts with 30 agencies. Other were delivered in single- or multi-day workshops, either under county contracts or fee-for-service contracts for nonprofit organizations.
We have created a model program that has reached more than 2000 people: a mobile mental health program where we create weekly pop-up drop-in "centers" with 2 van-based counseling offices in 6 neighborhoods in San Francisco, California.
