GLOBAL HEALTH PRACTICE: IDEO.ORG'S GLOBAL HEALTH PRACTICE DESIGN SOLUTIONS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF PEOPLE EVERYWHERE, WITH A FOCUS ON EQUITY. FROM HELPING ADOLESCENT GIRLS TRANSITION INTO THRIVING IN ADULTHOOD, TO ACCESSING SAFE HEALTH MANAGEMENT THAT FEELS GOOD, TO DEVELOPING TWO-GENERATIONAL APPROACHES TO POVERTY ALLEVIATION - WE BELIEVE THAT NEW SERVICES, BRANDS, AND BUSINESSES THAT SPEAK DIRECTLY TO THE MOST VULNERABLE WILL SUPPORT THEM IN MAKING INFORMED CHOICES ABOUT THEIR LIVES AND EMPOWER THEM TO TAKE CHARGE OF THEIR FUTURE. TO DATE, THE GLOBAL HEALTH PRACTICE HAS WORKED WITH A VARIETY OF PARTNERS INCLUDED POPULATION SERVICES INTERNATIONAL, WATER.ORG, YALE UNIVERSITY, AND MANY OTHERS TO REACH OVER 500,000 PEOPLE.
THE EQUITY PRACTICE: IN 2019, THE PRACTICE COMPLETED PROJECTS THAT HELPED INCREASE UPTAKE OF FEDERAL BENEFITS, IMPROVE HEALTHCARE DELIVERY IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES, IDENTIFY WAYS OF BOOSTING A SENSE OF BELONGING IN TRADITIONALLY OPPRESSED COMMUNITIES, AND DEVELOP NEW PROGRAMS THAT CAN HELP FAMILIES IN NEW YORK CITY ACHIEVE LASTING ECONOMIC MOBILITY.
