Organizations Filed Purposes: TO MAXIMISE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE WORLDWIDE TIBET MOVEMENT, WHICH IS DEDICATED TO ENDING HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN TIBET, AND TO ACTIVELY SUPPORTING THE TIBETAN PEOPLE'S RIGHT UNDER INTERNATIONAL LAW TO DETERMINE THEIR OWN POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, SOCIAL, RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL STATUS.

To maximise the effectiveness of the worldwide Tibet movement, which is dedicated to ending human rights violations in Tibet, and to actively supporting the Tibetan people's right under international law to determine their own political, economic, social, religious and cultural status.

Campaign Coordination. International Tibet Network supported coordinated campaign actions - through facilitated planning and creating shareable resources in a variety of languages - on a range of priority issues. Due to the COVID crisis we were called upon to develop further online resources for a number of campaigns including Panchen Lama and Free Tibetan Heroes - www.freetibetanheroes.org - both working for the release of political prisoners. We continued to support advocacy at the UN Human Rights Council and campaigns on Confucius Institutes were reinvigorated. Development of the campaign Tibet's Climate Crisis continued though original plans were curtailed due to the postponement of COP26 in Glasgow. We had a breakthrough success in the Stop Apple Censorship campaign with the release of the company's first Human Rights Policy. We also launched a new campaign relating to the Beijing 2022 Olympics and coordinated a cross-movement global day of action on 1 October 2020.

Meetings and Conferences. The COVID crisis forced all meetings and conferences to be cancelled and all travel to be curtailed. The costs reflect some staff time spent planning during the early part of the year, and cancellation costs which will be recoverable in future. Our focus shifted to online delivery of trainings.

Training and Capacity Building. International Tibet Network's capacity-building and training program is designed to maximize the effectiveness of the worldwide movement. Trainings were provided online because of the coronavirus pandemic and included Digital Fundraising, Collaboration, Strategic Communications and Strategic Planning, plus advice and support was given to a number of Groups on organising their own trainings, website development and fundraising planning.
