Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of JPEF is to develop and distribute effective educational materials about the Jewish partisans and their life lessons, bringing the celebration of heroic resistance against tyranny into educational and cultural organizations.
Outreach (Teacher Trainings and Collaboration): JPEF conducted 9 in person teacher trainings, reaching more than 425 educators and by extension close to 95,625 students during the next three years. JPEF continued engaging in long-term collaborations with other Holocaust organizations and entered into multi-year partnerships with many new entities. JPEF continued working closely with Facing History and Ourselves, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and also joined with ADL, the Museum of Jewish Heritage, Classrooms Without Borders and more, to conduct educator trainings with their staff and joint web trainings with constituents. JPEF entered into collaborations with 11 new partner organizations.
Held successful program Celebrating Women of the Jewish Partisans with keynote speaker Dr. Deborah Lipstadt for 297 people. Highlighted the role of women in Jewish resistance and made a new educational film on the subject of Jewish women in the partisans and the influence of their gender defying actions on young people today. Expanded the Jewish Partisan Community website by adding 11 new biographies of Jewish partisans.
E-Learning and Website: Upgrades continued to JPEFs extensive website to make it compatible with current technology. Redesign continued mid-way through 2019. 936 educators took JPEFs online professional development courses and 1804 downloaded curriculum/lesson plans. 82,703 people visited both of JPEFs websites for information with more than 140,902 viewing JPEFs films and partisan interviews.
