Organizations Filed Purposes: Workforce Development - LYRIC's Youth Workforce Development program, known as the Sequoia Leadership Institute, provides LGBTQQ and straight ally youth with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that prepare them for the work world. Through this program, youth learn to: engage in activities that build their emotional and intellectual capacity; succeed in school and explore post-secondary pathways to cultivate economic self-sufficiency; obtain meaningful work experience that builds their basic job readiness/leadership skills; and develop the means to thrive as individuals, utilizing critical thinking/problem solving skills to contribute to the vitality of their communities. Health & Wellness - LYRIC has developed a highly successful TGNC Youth Health Access Program Model, which has shown previous measurable impact and utilizes evidence-based strategies to address the health disparities of TGNC youth, including: peer-led, client-centered, and gender affirming services that address complex and intersectional health-based needs in a holistic, consistent, and culturally relevant framework and navigation to connect to needed services including physical and mental health resources and housing. PrEP Navigation: Navigators conduct a comprehensive intake to identify needs and create a case plan. Navigators assist with HIV/PrEP use counseling, setting up medical appointments, insurance navigation, and regular follow ups for continued support. (Continued at Schedule O)

TAY Leadership - LYRIC's Community Leadership Program is a paid 12-week internship program. Participants receive individualized support, job-readiness training, and project-based learning opportunities. The program deepens participants' understanding of social issues, supports job skills development and community connection, and engages youth in a culminating group project to address a community need. Data analyzed from 2019-20 indicates that 31 youth participated in LYRIC's Community Leadership Program and 85% of youth (across all workforce development programs) successfully completed their work experience.
