Organizations Filed Purposes:
To improve the lawyering skills of new lawyers, while expanding the availability of legal services by providing two-year work experiences fellowships in the public and nonprofit sectors.
During 2019, 11 fellows were serving either in the training or service year of their two-year fellowship experience. They worked for various government law offices Marin County, CA, District Attorney Solano County, CA, Public Defender and legal nonprofits Center for Biological Diversity, Center for Food Safety, Consumers Union. To date, 70 percent of the fellows who have completed this program remain employed with government agencies or legal nonprofits several of those who work for private law firms do work that is consistent with that which they did for nonprofits and government e.g., environmental law.
