The Lowell Alumni Association (LAA) maintains and enhances relationships that serve and support our alumni, students, school and the Lowell community.1.Scholarships: The LAA awards a number of scholarships each year to graduating seniors. Most scholarships are one-time awards, although a few are multi-year awards. The LAA Scholarship Committee solicits applications from graduating seniors and selects awardees, sometimes in consultation with Lowell High School faculty/staff.2.Newsletter: The LAA prints more than 34,000 newsletters twice each year and mails them to Lowell alumni, retired faculty/staff and other friends. Features include alumni news; reunion announcements and reports; news about current students and school activities; and news about LAA programs to support current students and programs at Lowell High School.3.Reunions: The LAA encourages alumni to hold regular class reunions and provides support to class reunion committees.4.Grants and gifts: Upon application by Lowell fa

Library Renovation Project As part of the largest capital improvement project ever undertaken by the Lowell Alumni Association, a combination of designated and unrestricted gifts was used to help fund major improvements to the Lowell High School library, including new lighting and HVAC systems, group study rooms, flooring and furniture.
Scholarships/Awards During fiscal year 2019-20, we awarded 71 college scholarships to recent Lowell graduates ($136,273), most of which are funded by perpetual endowed scholarship funds. We also awarded 12 academic prizes/awards/stipends ($23,400) to current students, recognizing outstanding achievement in English, Mathematics and Science.
Alumni Programs/Services The Lowell Alumni Association provides a free alumni newsletter that is mailed to more than 33,000 alumni, former faculty and other friends of Lowell High School ($19,747). We also support and facilitate regular class reunions ($79,806, funded primarily through ticket sales but including $1,302 of direct LAA support). The LAA Executive Director also engages in various Alumni Relations activities ($16,845).
