Organizations Filed Purposes:
For over 30 years the Ensemble has been a creative force and active member of the San Francisco Bay Area as well as the national arts community. Our overarching goal is to produce innovative and engaging performances that reach for the highest artistic standards.
Production and performance of interdisciplinary performing arts and opera, locally, nationally, and internationally. This year the organization's Sound Maze was presented in San Antonio, TX Paul Dresher was commissioned to compose a new work for the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company this year. Dresher's multi-disciplinary performance work, Schick Machine, was presented in Oregon.
Production support and fiscal sponsorship for local performing artists and arts groups. This year, the organization expanded its rehearsal facilities in order to provide opportunities for much needed low-cost space for local artists and arts groups to record and live-stream performances due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Composition, commissioning, and performance of contemporary classical music.
