Organizations Filed Purposes: Nihonmachi Little Friends (NLF) is a Japanese bilingual multicultural & educational childcare organization.

Preschool Programs: NLF's 2 preschool classrooms were at full enrollment during this fiscal year, with stable staffing. Successfully completed the Preschool For All Program grant. Special fieldtrips and classroom enrichment programs were provided for all children's programs. Parent participation continues at a high level, involving everyone in the various school and community events, as well as fundraising activities. Program fundraising goals were met enabling programs to provide quality programming & services.Due to the pandemic and the Shelter in Place Order, the program transitioned from in-person to virtual programming forall of its enrolled students from mid-March through June 2020.

After School Program: Program was at full enrollment during the school year. Classroom enrichment programs were provided for all K-5th graders. Partnered with George Washington High School's Japanese Honor Society in which their members volunteered at NLF's After School Program and assisted with homework and Japanese lessons. Parent participation continued to be successful with fundraising goals met.Due to the pandemic and the Shelter in Place Order, the program transitioned from in-person to virtual programming forall of its enrolled students from mid-March through June 2020.
