Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of OCC is to provide educational and therapeutic services to children with emotional disturbance and/or developmental delays. We provide highly enriched emotional, psychological, and educational support to these children and their families. We help the children to develop the skills and self-awareness necessary to continue learning and to fully realize their potential within the community.

Oakes Children's Center (OCC) provides educationally-based mental health services to clients between the ages of 5 and 19. Therapeutic services are family-centered, culturally-responsive, trauma-informed, and research-based and consist of a counseling enriched, Non-public School, in partnership with SFUSC Partnership, and school based outpatient services, and a Doctoral Training program. Ultimately, our wish is to support clients to thrive in the least restrictive environment possible and to remain in direct care of their families. To this end, Oakes also provides extensive family support in the form of family therapy, caregiver support group, case management and clinical consultation to family support teams.
