SINCE ITS FOUNDING, ODC/DANCE HAS PERFORMED FOR MORE THAN 2 MILLION PEOPLE IN 41 STATES AND 13 COUNTRIES. IN prior years, NEARLY 50,000 AUDIENCE MEMBERS AROUND THE COUNTRY EXPERIENCED ODCS PROFESSIONAL DANCE COMPANY IN LIVE PERFORMANCE IN SAN FRANCISCO AND THROUGH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TOURING.IN prior years, ODC PREMIERED THREE NEW WORKS, PATH OF MIRACLES CHOREOGRAPHED BY KT NELSON, NEWS OF THE WORLD CHOREOGRAPHED BY BRENDA WAY, AND GIFTS OF SOLACE CHOREOGRAPHED BY KIMI OKADA. PATH OF MIRACLES WAS INSPIRED BY NELSONS MEDITATION PRACTICE AND HER SIX-WEEK WALK AND PARTICIPATION IN THE ANCIENT CAMINO DE SANTIAGO PILGRIMAGE AND WAS SET SITE-SPECIFICALLY WITHIN GRACE CATHEDRAL. PERFORMED AT YERBA BUENA CENTER FOR THE ARTS, NEWS OF THE WORLD EXPLORED HOW GENDER ROLES SHAPE SOCIAL INTERACTION AND HOW MEDIA AND CONFIRMATION BIAS PLAY IN OUR PERCEPTIONS, IN THE WAKE OF THE #METOO ERA.
