Bay Area ConcertsIn the Bay area, the orchestra and Philharmonia Chamber Players performed a series of four subscription concert sets (16 separate concerts), seven off-season staged opera performances and a special gala performance, one free performance for Palo Alto subscribers, one PBO SESSIONS concert, and one side-by-side performance with Juilliard415, thereby entertained an audience of about 12,000 music lovers.
RecordingsThe Orchestra promotes music of the Baroque and Classical eras on authentic period instruments through 43 commercial recordings. Three new recordings were released in FY20: PBO & Caroline Shaw, Handel Arias with Avery Amereau, and a digital-only release of Handels oratorio Saul. All PBO recordings are also available for streaming and digital download.
TouringPhilharmonia Baroque Chamber Players and members of the Philharmonia Chorale toured in November to Dartmouth College (New Hampshire), and in January performed runouts to Livermore and Carmel-by-the-Sea. Total audience for these three performances was 1,100.
